RPM Poker Software
RPM Poker’s software is based on Merge Gaming technology and has been impressive so far. The software package is light on its feet and the graphics have a spare, modern look that makes it easy to follow the action at the table.
The software comes with all the standard features you would expect (player notes, table sorting, re sizable windows, etc) but it also comes with others that you won’t find at other poker sites. Some of the most notable features include:
• Rabbit Hunt – The Rabbit Hunt features allows you to see what the next card would have been if the hand would have continued. This comes in handy when you fold but want to see what would have happened had you stayed in.
• Deal It Twice – If two players get all-in on the flop and decide they want to “Deal It Twice,” the turn and river cards will be dealt twice. Each player will have an extra chance to win – or lose.
• Accolades – Win a big tournament or special event and RPM Poker will add a special ribbon or trophy to your player avatar. Consider it a way to show off your achievements.
Strengths:
US players accepted
35% Rakeback
Software is fast and looks awesome
Overlays on guaranteed tournaments
Weaknesses:
Player traffic is low but rapidly growing
Customer support via e-mail only
High stakes games don’t run very often
RPM Poker Cash Games
RPM Poker has healthy cash game selection that includes Texas Holdem, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven Card Stud, Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo, 5 Card Draw, Razz, H.O.R.S.E., Badugi and Euchre. The Texas Holdem tables are well-populated but the other poker variants are fairly quiet.
RPM Poker has a wide variety of stakes that range from $0.01/$0.02 up to $100/$200. No matter what your bankroll looks like, you’ll find a table that fits at RPM Poker. The high stake tables aren’t very busy but the low and medium stake players have a steady player base.
RPM Poker Tournaments
RPM Poker has a strong tournament offering that includes freezeouts, bounties, shootouts, freerolls, rebuys, satellites, guaranteed prize pool tournaments and sit-and-gos. The guaranteed prize pool tournaments often have overlays, which is a great value for players. The satellite tournaments are also popular because players can win entry to all sorts of bigger events, including major live tournaments.
Overall, the average number of people per tournament is on the low end. That means you’ll see smaller prize pools but more frequent wins. In the end, it all evens out. One of the more popular tournaments is the Sunday $50,000 Guaranteed. No matter how many players show up, the prize pool is always at least $50,000.
RPM Poker Player Traffic
RPM Poker has a decent amount of traffic because the Merge Gaming Network has already been around for quite a while. There is still room for improvement, however, because the non-Texas Holdem tables are still pretty quiet. If you play small or medium stakes Texas Holdem, you’ll find plenty of action. There aren’t as many players here as at some other poker sites but that disadvantage is offset by one important advantage: the player competition.
RPM Poker Competition
RPM Poker shares traffic with the other poker sites on the Merge Gaming Network so your competition is composed of the players from several sites. Overall, the competition is softer than at many larger poker sites because there aren’t yet enough players on the Merge Gaming Network to attract many sharks.
RPM Poker Customer Support
RPM Poker has a customer support staff on hand 24 hours a day but their only contact method is by e-mail. So far the customer support team has proven itself to be fast and reliable but it would be nice to see a customer service phone number sometime soon. If you need to talk to the people at RPM Poker, send an e-mail to support@rpmpokercs.com.
RPM Poker Deposit and Withdrawal Options
The list of deposit options at RPM Poker includes credit card, eWalletXpress, NETeller, Click2Pay, Eco Card, Fonelinx, Moneybookers and PinDebit. Withdrawals can be processed either via the same method used to deposit or by courier check. The minimum deposit is $10 and the minimum withdrawal is $25.
